Glass Repairs

Why repair!? Well as a repair is usually 1/3 and 1/2 the cost of new this is cost effective and will not leave your laboratory waiting for new glassware for long.

What is worth repairing? Well we can repair most things but if the item is low cost and has a large part broken such as a beaker then this may not be worth repairing.
But we will be happy to dispose of the broken items for you.

It is advised by us not to use any glassware in you laboatories that is chipped, deeply scratched or has cracks in it as this will significantly reduce the structure and the durability of the glassware.

While we will aim to repair used damaged glassware it is not a guarantee that the item that has been sent to us will be returned due to glass being very temperamental when being re-heated and damaged fractures might occur. If this happens you would be informed right away as a rule we often say that most items are 50/50 reparable.

We also can modify items that may require different fittings such as olives, sockets, flanges, cones etc.

Before adding glass repairs to the repair box please think safety first “make sure all items especially the sharp parts are protected from others who might enter the box
By using a tape like parafilm or nescofilm.

Please do not use sellotape as this is not easy to remove.

Also please make sure that all items have been cleaned and not contaminated with any dangerous substances.

Once we have received your repairs we will provide you with a free quotation for your broken glassware and a breakdown of the parts needed for repairing. If any items are beyond repair we will inform you.
